Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on ordering, materials, quality control, payment and delivery — everything a distributor, hospital or healthcare brand needs to know before partnering with Vascora Industry as their surgical instrument manufacturer.

Ordering & Minimum Quantities

Yes. As a bulk manufacturer, most lines carry a minimum order quantity, which varies by instrument type. Technical or specialty pieces generally carry a lower MOQ than standard general-surgery items, since they are produced in smaller, more controlled batches. Where an item is already held in our finished-goods inventory, we can often waive the MOQ for a trial or top-up order — just ask our sales team when you enquire.

Yes. Most customers combine several product lines and specialisms in a single purchase order, and our production planning is built around exactly that. Let us know the full range you need and we will confirm quantities, lead time and packing together.

Send us your instrument list, or the tender or formulary specification you are working to, and we will return a proforma invoice covering pricing, packing and delivery terms. Once that is confirmed and the order is placed, our production team takes it from there.
Customisation & Private Label (OEM)

Yes. As the manufacturer, we can adjust handle patterns, finishes, markings, sizing and set composition, or develop an entirely new design from a drawing, sample or sketch you provide. Our tooling and design team will confirm feasibility and lead time before production begins.

Yes, this is one of our core services. We manufacture instruments under your own brand name and packaging, to the same quality standard as our house range, so you can build your own reputation on instruments produced to consistent, audited specifications. This includes your logo, box artwork and instructions for use being produced in your branding rather than ours.

Yes. Tell us the procedure and the instruments involved and we will propose a tray layout, or work from a set list or existing tray you already use. Bespoke sets are commonly requested for specialist surgery and can be finished in your preferred tray format.
Materials & Quality Assurance

Reusable, OR-grade instruments are produced from high-grade German and Japanese surgical steel, and forgings sourced to internationally recognised standards including ASTM F899. These grades are chosen specifically for their strength, corrosion resistance and suitability for repeated sterilisation cycles, rather than for cost alone.

Every instrument is inspected at multiple stages of manufacture, from forging and machining through to final finishing, with dimensional, functional and surface-finish checks before packing. Material certificates and, where required, lab test reports are available on request or supplied as standard with the order.

We stand behind our workmanship. In the rare event of a manufacturing defect, we will arrange a free replacement — our sales team will confirm the process for returning or evidencing the affected item so we can resolve it quickly.

Our manufacturing is carried out under an ISO 13485-compliant quality management system, and instruments are produced to meet relevant international regulatory standards for the markets we supply into. If you need documentation for a specific market or tender, let us know the requirement and we will confirm what is available.
Payment & Sales Terms

New accounts typically operate on an advance payment basis, which can be split into two instalments: the first when the order is placed, and the second once the shipment is ready for dispatch. All payments and shipping documents are processed through the bank.

Cash-against-documents or credit terms may become available for established accounts once a trading history has been built. Speak with our sales team about your volumes and we will discuss what can be arranged.

Every order is handled individually. Pricing and delivery timeframes are confirmed in a proforma invoice, based on the specific instruments, quantities and any customisation involved, and shipments are processed under your agreed delivery terms (FOB, CIF or similar), in line with the relevant regulatory and customs requirements for your country.
Delivery & Logistics

Delivery dates depend on several factors, including current order forecasting, production scheduling and stock availability at the time you order. We are continually expanding inventory and streamlining production to shorten lead times, and we will confirm a realistic delivery date with your proforma invoice.

We offer flexible air and sea freight options tailored to the size and urgency of your order — sea freight for larger, planned shipments, and air freight for urgent or smaller top-up orders. You are welcome to nominate your own shipping agent, or take advantage of our preferred agents and their negotiated rates through carriers such as UPS and FedEx.

Yes, we regularly export to healthcare distributors, hospital groups and instrument brands across multiple regions. Wherever you are, our logistics team works to get orders to you on time and in full condition.
After-Sales Support

We support customers well beyond delivery, including technical drawings, Instructions for Use (IFU), product certificates and lab reports, plus any additional technical documentation you need for registration, tenders or internal governance. Together with you, we continuously look at ways to streamline reordering and delivery for repeat business.

Your dedicated point of contact from the original order remains your first port of call, or you can reach our general sales team through the Contact page — we are glad to help with reordering, documentation requests or any queries about instruments already supplied.
